Funny/interesting Rc expiriences

A place to talk about something that made you think, or made you laugh while running your cars..

I think the best one I had was when my truck was being marshalled- the marshal grabbed it, he thought it stalled, and Im yelling at the guy to put it back down- and every time he takes a couple steps i blip the throttle- when the "stalled" truck spins the wheels he looks at it like it had 5 heads... and finally he got the message and put it back on the track..

another one was the start of my first ever main.. i was thinking and thinking to roll onto the throttle to take off nice without wheels spin.... the butterflies got to me and i ended up gunning it down the entire front strait... leaving the nitro guys in the dust and the front wheels in the air:oh: the driver next to me was set next to me on the grid with an 8ight-T RTR and all i heard was "what the fuck?! is that legal?!?" It was great:yes:

:rofl::rofl::rofl: thats like when I could jump over 3-4 trucks that were on the 16ft table top because I was runing a 10.5 and everyone else was runing a 13.5..

mine is one of those "I wonder if... and ohh ****"

slash+mamba 5700+tall gearing+BIG jump VS. brand new foamy slowflyer:whistle: I never though the slash would jump that high:surprised: he made a pass over the table top and I just nailed it, I spent 4hrs picking foam from my slash... 30+ people and no one got it on video:diablo:

yes, I paid for his foamy.

you can ask anyone who was there, I didn't make that up

same day as ben, my buggy got hit in the air, did a barrel roll and 360, landed perfectly on the downramp!

also, i was bashing, hit a ramp, and the wheel flew off. it was kind of dark, so i just went back the next day to find it. not only did i find the wheel, i shuffled through a pile of leaves, and there was the wheelnut too! what a lucky day it was

Back in the early 90's I had to stop racing Oval in Florida, because nobody had a combo that could keep up with my CW Dominator using a Aveox sensored brushless system. It was fun putting laps on some of the fastest guys on the track, what was funnier is that I was the worst driver of the group.

Best one i can think of right now, one of my first races with my G2R and its new novak 4400hv combo.

I started in the first heat, I lapped the field half way through the 5 minute heat, the bad boy was hooked up. I later hit a spike and broke the right front suspension, basically ruined me for the rest if the day. But a Driver named Jeff said after that first heat that it shouldn't count, cause i didn't work on the car or anything till i raced. I said i put my time in before the race like every other E-driver in the world. anyways i decided to run my 3.3 revo the next week and show them up on their own turf, I out the exact same whooping in them that week and later was knocked out by an air leak (later found out the backplate lost a bolt) but i made my statement. "It's not the truck you have to worry about, it's the driver you need to watch".

Suffice it to say, they don't give me much static about my electrics now
