ok, i'm not sure if anyone on here has dealt with this website or the person running it but this thread is just a short cliffnotes version of my experience with them and i'm pretty f**king mad right now...anyways long story short...ordered an rx8 combo online from them on april 23rd....didn't answer my emails until the 24th asking them if they actually had it in stock (that's why i truly appreciate company's that have LIVE inventory) and it wasn't until I found the owner of the website (after some research on rctech.net) then I pm'ed him and he takes a shot at me for emailing and pm'ing him (he says 5 emails and a PM in 24hrs) ....what was i suppose to think since this was the first time buying from this website and the phone number they have on their paypal leads me to a f-ing hair salon!!! (and BTW it was 3 emails and 1 pm and i was extremely cordial in every one of them)anyways it turns out they aren't in stock so then i request a refund.....THAT WAS ON THE 24TH....anyways on the 27th he FINALLY gets back to me after several emails and states he will be issuing a partial either that night or the next day...WRONG!!! i end up getting a partial...$200 of it (THANK GOD at least its something!) on the 30th.....so then after waiting a day or two i ask when the rest of my refund is coming and on the 6th he PM's me and states by the end of this week (ie. today...) and still no responses from my emails or PM's....this guy still has $169 of my money!!!!!So I have one question....WHY DOES IT TAKE THIS LONG (2 weeks and counting)TO GET A REFUND FOR A TRANSACTION THAT INSTANTLY TOOK THE MONEY OUT OF MY ACCOUNT IN ONE DAY ONCE THE ORDER WAS PLACED????:diablo:....i know that he may be a"one man show" but it still shows him going online at least once everyday in rctech to view forums...so you would think while he is online he can easily go to paypal and issue my refund!!!!!! (it would take 2 minutes tops!)I promised myself i would rant about another website like this but this is ridiculous....Monster brother's...be warned...i would NEVER buy from this guy again just from the level of(or lack therof) customer service this guy has.....rant over.......and i still don't have my money ...please tell me someone else on here has had a better experience with this website and/or owner....

Pass. What I would say though is that if the phone number is a deadend, then a SINGLE email to the website is the normal way to check stock status BEFORE placing an order. As for waiting 24hrs for a reply, thats 100% normal- most places are busy with actual work so emails get processed on a daily basis in the morning, hence a slight delay in getting to your emails at the bottom of a list; no wonder he was pretty pissed at you for sending multiple emails because he didnt respond instantly the first time, and probably why he's making you wait for the full amount to be refuned- just out of spite.
I cant say whether its a normally good place or not, but, always best to check for opinions/ experiences before ordering, and to have a little patience when waiting for a responce to questions sent to the store. |
I've learned the hard way, that shopping online for the lowest possible price is often the surest way to get burned. There are likely quite a few reputable vendors that have the product you were buying, but I'm guessing that they were also a bit higher in price.
Sorry to hear of your troubles, and people that operate that way will not last long in business. |
I consider myself a pretty busy person with multiple
Projects going on however ... When I sell something on eBay or on here or any other tc forum and my buyers ask me a question, I go out of my way to respond to that question asap or within 24 hrs...and if they keep emailing me( like if I'm at work and I can't get to the email quicker..) I make it a point to answer them when the first chance I get and if I will be away for a while I would let them know and not let them wait 2-3 days without a response...I try to keep great communication going between my buyers and at the very least have the Correct contact info so they won't feel duped....AND if I owe someone money on a refund they requested I refund them within a day or so and NOT 2+ weeks...anyways. I believe that's bad business practice to hold a CUSTOMERS money and and delay a refund out of spite...no matter how pissed off you are...it's their money....awe well...a least I got $200 of it back... |
file a complaint with paypal

What would I file it under?....there are only 2 options for opening disputes...one is:"I did not receive an item I purchased or the item I received is significantly not as described." and the other is: "I did not authorize a recent transaction"....all i want is the rest of my refund and why he only refunded my $200 of the $369 is a complete mystery to me b/c when sellers issue refunds through paypal they get any fees, that paypal charged them for, completely refunded........
|
You didn't receive an item you purchased correct? That's what you file under
|
It kinda boggles me that you seem upset over a 24 hour email response. I can totally understand being upset that you don't have a full refund though. It should have been issued upon the 27th when he replied to the second email.
Did you really email him 5 times in 24 hours? If so, that is totally overboard. |
No just 3 emails and I wasn't sure which email to send it to so I sent one to sales/one to feedback/one to axiom so it was 3 emails to different addresses and not 3 to one email address but this was after I got freaked out when the contact number led me to a hair salon(first time buyer from a website whose contact phone number leads a customer to a hair salon ?!) ...then I did some research and found him on rctech and pm'ed him....I wasn't mad that he didn't respond to me in 24 hours ..people are busy and life happens...what I'm mad about is the fact that my refund is taking sooooooo long...and his communication with me has been "chris fine"-like ...he promised me a partial refund within a certain time frame and I got it 2 days after the fact...then he promises me the rest of the refund by the end of this week..well..it's Saturday...no refund...no response to my pm's/emails ( and he's been online tonight via a status check on rctech) and now a dispute has been opened on paypal....let's see...order placed on April 23rd....refund requested on the 24th....partial promised by the 27th...partial received on the 30th....rest of refund promised by the 8th....it's the 9th and still no refund....I'm over it..ranting done...just be careful when buying stuff from this guy...
|
I totally feel you there. Hair salon? That is funny!
He probably has all the emails route to one. |
this guy is ridiculous check out this PM from him:
"I log onto here during the day through my iphone, which I will NOT log onto paypal through for security reasons. If you want me to refund you the 169.95, cancel the dispute for 369.95 I am home Today and logged onto paypal to issue the refund, however I now see a dispute." -its sad that a dispute had to be opened for this guy to get on the refund horse... *got my refund!!!!!!!!!....unless you like your money being held hostage....i do not recommend buying from this website.....we shoudl start a thread on where to NOT buy from...LOL..thanks for your help guys! |
So you closed the dispute, and got it?
|
yep...he responded to the dispute claim in less than 10 hours and was all for a refund... But he initially wanted me to drop the dispute first BEFORE giving me the refund...anyways..lesson learned ...I will never buy from them or their products again...
