Expectations for Medusa future products
 

I have 3 Medusa motors and I love them. But when I start to think of a bigger project I am afraid I have to go to other brands cos Medusa doesn't have larger motors. I would like to write my expectations for Medusa's possible future products, any one if interested please just add on to my list.

*) larger motors like Neu's 1521\ 1527 or even the 22xx series.
I would save hundreds of $ if something else exsists to choose from beside Neu and the German stuff.

*) Sealed can

*) REBUILDABLE DESIGN

*) larger bearings like the Castle version of Neu

*) winding leads un-tinned. or tin the tip only.
tinned leads are so stiff that I don't dare (nor should) bend it, very inconvinient for wiring and routing.

*) remove the front centering hubs of 28mm motors. it does nothing but interference with the motor mount. Make the can longer to compete with the 29*65mm Neu 1115.

Rebuildable design is what i wanna see.

A Medusa 44-xx-xxxx series is what I want to see. I think 44mm is right, but a medusa the same diameter as the Neu 15 series would have me sold. Of course, the price would have to stay within about $50 too; preferably about $20-$30 different if possible. Heck, the lowest price possible would be the ideal situation - that's the biggest thing you guys have on Neu and other high end motors.

I would also like to see no/optional centering hubs. The sealed can would be a great option too. Options and flexibility is a good thing to have too.

Much of the wire stiffness comes from the fact that those leads are extensions of the coil windings and they are made up of large strands of solid wire. Sure, having them soldered together makes it even more difficult. For the best flexibility without sacrifind the windings, I would say provide solder tabs or the scheme that CC uses.

I agree...also a series w/a finned design would be nice

I'd like to see the wire that CC uses, except all black.

I'd like BIGGER motors. Not 44mm but closer to Neu 22** size. Imagine 22** power for $200-$300 :yipi:
