Will Hyper Mini STe Shocks fit CRT.5?

Firstly Hi to All and thanks for contributing to this forum, its been an invaluable source of helpful information on my steep learning curve!

I searched about a bit but couldn't find any info.

I'm just wondering if the Hyper Mini STe shocks will fit the CRT.5?

Cheers All!

hyper mini shocks on a .5

im farely sure they will ,if anything they look a bit longer but again ;im not sure.Shock bodies are ten mm and im hopeing they redid the pistons because the .5 pistons are 2 or 3 tenths under sized ,as a result the . 5 shocks are pretty sloppy in relation to the amount of side to side movement of the shaft in relation to the shock bodies.Im not sure theres that much to gain by going to the hypers shock but you might consider getting some AE shock pistoins and just shave them a little for thickness so they can fit between the shaft clips and they fit the shock bodies perfectly. this has for me eliminated the premature failure of the bushings and o rings and improves the dampning action quite a bit. Or go to the DM1/Buggyfront option .the dm1s lose you some droop and ive had trouble finding a light enough spring rate for my tastebut the shocks work great! I would say to try the AE pistons first for less than $5 and an hour vs $$$ . good luck& have a great day

Thanks Doug,

I haven't heard of using the Associated pistons. I'll definitely give that a go asap.

What car are the pistons from?

Cheers.
