MMM V3 Updated to the latest version
I just went to the newer software on my MMM V3 today so that I could try out if there was a difference. Updated and installed on my LSt2 and when I plug my Lipo batts, the wires that goes to the receiver burnt:surprised:. It was working before I did this, anyone else have this problem? Thanks.

I just updated the firmwhere yesterday on an MMM I was running on 5S and then went to 6S for its first test and everything works great. Thats a good one though. I dont know what the firmware would have to do with that wire being burnt.

Mmm v3
I know it wasn't a wiring issue as I was running it before I had the firmware updated. I had another ESC and it worked fine, this is not my lucky day for sure.

I really fail to see how a software update which is nothing more then short pulses of on and off low current electricity could cause a wire to fry.

Didn't have this problem, i think you messed up.

Mmm
I was only wondering if it happenned to anyone but it seems it's just me. Thanks for the input.

I know a guy from racing who's mmm stopped working after he updated software, but I don't think any wires caught fire.

ther emust have been some kinda symoltanious failure.
so by coincidence after you updated the firmware there might have been a stack on your previous run....might have allowed some arking from the main power board to get onto the BEC board bad luck :( shaun |
This weekend I ran the first 2 qualifiers with the previous Firmware and then the 3rd qualifier and main race with the updated firmware.
No problems. The throttle response felt "smoother" to me with the update. |
could have plugged the rx wires in backwards?
