My Associated RC8 conversion
Hi everyone,
This is my first 1/8 car/project and also my first post here. Still need to buy some parts but this is what i have so far. Bought the rolling chassis on Ebay for really cheap. This is how i received it with brushless motormount, battery holders and some kingheadz goodies. http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w...8/IMG_4899.jpg http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w...8/IMG_4906.jpg http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w...8/IMG_4907.jpg After some research i saw some pictures on another forum from exactly the same setup. So this car used to belong to BobbyGately, the guy from this vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-w8FALSyC8 This was the video/car that made me consider a 1/8 brushless conversion. So i am really happy that i bought this chassis :yipi: The setup that i'm planning to run: -Hobbywing 80a ESC -Novak 4400 with 5mm shaft (13t/44t) -4s 5000 zippy flightmax Bought the Novak really cheap (yeah i like cheap ) so this will be my temporary setup. Just want to check how this drives and if i like it. http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w...8/IMG_6327.jpg Some questions: -The middle diff is locked. What is better? -Can the Hobbywing esc handle this motor? (I think so but i'm not sure) |
buggy looks good, i really want an RC8. welcome to rc-monster! you should probably unlock the center diff.
