how hot it too hot

Hey guys,
Just got my BL 9L installed today and was wondering how hot the motor shouldnt get... I remember the stock brushed motors someone said that you should be able to touch it with your fingers and not burn them off..atleast for a few seconds. Is it suppose to be that way for a BL. I ran it and it got pretty hot... just wondering. Is there a thumb rule or something or do I have to buy one of those thermometers to tell me. If I do how hot should be the hottest...again this is for a feirgo 9L. THanks guys..

usually its 160 is about the hottest you want it to get.

I would get the little thrermeter thingy. If you in the cold and hands are cold it will burn you at a lower temp.

temp guns do teh trick nicely!

You're best off just buying a temp gun (they're dead useful for other things around the house too). Generally anything under 180F for a motor is safe, but ideally you want to keep things under 160F. 200F+ is a definate no no.
