I ran 6S 2P 5000 in my Rusty with a 1515 1.5 up to 87mph...absolutely no complaints

magman 06.01.2009 09:13 PM

From many members here, most have had v/good results!

DwightSchrute 06.01.2009 09:52 PM

they stay as cool as a cucumber with my losi 8ight geared 45/24 on a neu 1515 1Y.

that's some serious amp draw and they are rock solid. sad to say probably the best packs i've bought and i've spent hundreds of dollars for what i thought were "better name brand" cells. not any more. i'm sticking to Zippy's. after my purchase today i'll have 5 of them. they are GREAT batteries imo.

I am curious, just browsing around at their lipo selection, are these any good?

those are enerland cells if i remember correctly best in the bis with high pricetag. i love my 30 dollar 2s1p zippy hard case 4000mah. the monster should stock zippy i would pay more than hobby city price to buy from mike.

lincpimp 06.02.2009 01:43 AM

The whole polyquest line is good. HC have some smoking deals on the newer PQ stuff. I logged in (platinum member) and was blown away by the price. Some of the packs were getting close to the zippy prices.

In all honesty the zippy packs seem to be great performers. I would rank them over maxamps old stuff, that is for sure.

zeropointbug 06.02.2009 01:46 AM

ya i know what enerland cells are, the best... but has anyone had first hand experience with these series packs?

I have been an A123 guy always... but now with these cheaper lipo packs that are performing so well, and now with the new V2 series enerland cells like FP EON X30's and TP 40C packs. Makes me want to get some for myself. I don't know what to get yet though...

I am also thinking of just getting the MMM and then bumping the A123 pack to 8s1p packs for 1500 watts, along with the E-revo chassis conversion.

maxamps used to have good packs right?

Compared to tenergy nimhs they were great packs...

glassdoctor 06.02.2009 10:23 AM

I know this is an anti-maxamps community... but I have a pile of MA packs that rip just fine.

I've been running my 4200s since last summer, mostly in 1/10 buggy and some runs in my 1/8. They run great... IR is still very low... 3 or 4 on the Duo charger. Not sure how anyone can bash on them. All my packs have been good... the only puffed packs I've had we my fault. I discharged them down to 0 by accident, and then kept using them until they died.

If you want to beat up MA on their prices, fine. But the performance/quality of their packs have always been unfairly bashed on RCM in my opinion. I went down that road a long time ago and listed my own data graphs that were MUCH better than what some others here were stating. I've never claimed them to be the best, or anything they are not.

Anyway, I'll gladly run my MA 4200 powered buggy against anything out there :na:
