mmm or tekin rx8

i know the mmm does 25v and 6s
and rx8 does 6s and what volts?
and what is better?

6s X 4.2V(fully charged)= 25.2

Same rating with the Tekin.

As far as which is better, it depends on your application. The MMM has been out for a while and is a tried and trued system. Tekin is just getting mainstream with their system and people are thoroughly testing them.
Another point is that the Tekin system has the option to run the motor sensored or not. The MMM is strictly sensorless, but new updates on firmware and software have smoothened out the MMM's acceleration.
There are lots of programmable features about both systems, +'s and -'s, take your pick and try one out.

I'd go with MMM personally. Like stated above its a proven good system. Tekin way to overpriced IMO.

MMM for Customer service... Plus the MMM system is a bit more battle proven then the rx8

From what I've read, Tekin is just as good with service.

nitrostarter 06.02.2009 03:26 PM

Yep, While Tekin is an employee-owned entity, the customer service is quite highly ranked for there satisfaction and quick turn-around.

My vote goes for Tekin.

It's only $20-30 more than the MMM combo and it can run sensored.
Plus it's a lighter set-up.

GREAT customer service. When I had a slipped rotor, I got a replacement in 2 days. If you really want a detailed rundown go to rctech. 140+ pages of RX8 pros and cons, successes and failures.

Most (including myself) love the RX8.

I see the RX8 as a SSB Qaurk on steriods.

i have both system and each one had some positive and neg point...... tekin motor run little bit hoter than castle neu and neu....but esc run cooler(the heatsink is more at the airflow)...i prefer bullet plug and the easy way to open the case to take care of the monster:yes:the rx8 case is strong but i was scared to open it for clean the inside....both esc have the same worst negative point..:whistle:i didn't like the way that i have to change the fan 2 time a day because they are cheap....

anyway now we have more choice.....<:mdr:

The Tekin is imo a little nicer then the mmm. Tekin has always produced top of the line stuff, but it's always been at a price. With the price difference between the two, I don't think you should even factor that in. I give the upper hand to the tekin.

4g63t 06.02.2009 08:28 PM

Looks like tekin is the one
