My xtreme slash!

so after converting several 1/8 vehicles and racing them my friend convinced me to race the Slash class and said it was a lot of fun. i borrowed a Slash one weekend to race and loved it. its more for fun and not as a competitive so alot of us up on the drivers stand just laughing and talking while racing. our track runs a modified Slash class called the "Outlaw Class". i tricked out this Slash a few weeks ago and thought i would post. it has been a fun little truck, though nothing like a buggy or truggy of course.

since these pics there have been some changes like adding 17mm hexes and V3 buggy wheels, RPM skidplates, and integy springs with bad horsie covers. i also went down to the Velineon motor instead of the castle cuz the castle was just too fast to race with. it would take flight on speed runs. now it is controllable and a perfect little setup. enjoy.

Very nice looking setup you have there Ryu. How are you finding the new version MIP's? I also have a set on my speed Rustler on 4S and they are holding up well.

Very cool slash you've got there. IMO your motor wires are very long- run them between the shock & shock tower, that'll shorten them a lot.

Very cool!

those rubber bands come with the MIP cvd's and hold the pin in but they kinda suck. they are actually a soft plastic that is threaded and they screw onto the axle over the pin. they come off very easily though and then you lose a pin and your driveline comes apart. luckily it hasnt happened to me yet cuz at the first sign of those coming loose i superglued that plastic bushing over the pin. so far it has held up. they are much better than the plastic though. i also have a set of Integy cvd's for the Slash but they weigh a ton and so i didnt use them. seemed way too heavy for that small motor to get moving without over heating.
