Any way to test a Spektrum rx, besides in a truck?

Been trying to get ahold of spektrum and haven't been able to so i thought I'd ask here.

I recently got a Spektrum DX3.0 with 3 sr3000 rxs. 2 work perfectly, the third was missing an antenna. I did a search and it looks like the antenna should be 8.5" so i put on a new one and threw it in the truck. rebound it and man it just acted all sorts of crazy.

so questions:

1. Is that the right antenna length?
2. any way to test and see if the rx is still good?
3. anyone know if spektrum will service the rx or am i going to have to replace it?

Thanks!

On the antenna length- is it the same as the other two that work properly? I don't know off-hand what rx my Spektrum radio has, but the antenna is much shorter than 8.5". I would say there is less than 5" sticking out of the case.

Yeah it's very similar in length but seems long to me.

Arct1k, that's the problem i can't get a hold of them. I was on hold for 20min before i had to hang up and they've not responded to emails yet... I'll give them another call tomorrow and hopefully they're not as busy. thanks

Well finally got them on the phone. 8.5" is correct for the length on the rx.

They said to ship it in, if they do charge it'll be $30 an hour.

Thanks ya'll

they said that but mine came back with no charge...
