losi LST2 diff pin problems

4 Attachment(s)
I'm having a small problem with the diff pins in my lst2, and looking for what you guys have run into and what you did to fix the problem. As the pics show I keep shearing the diff pin into 3 pieces. As you can see one side gear and diff output is split in half. I believe that one was from landing a jump under power, but the other two I believe just broke.

SETUP: LST2, TDR hub, and motor mount, neu 1515 2.5d, 6s Flightmax 5000 30c, MMM V3, Losi Muggy pin spike tires, 23 pinion, 64 spur gear, gear flip, XXL tranny gear set, sway bars, lowered ride height, RCRaven springs, 35 weight oil, aluminum bellcrank, BAC link, Hitec Steering servo, no extra aluminum or weight added to truck.

Haven't seen a diff case break... as far as the internals, get the parts for a sportwerks or the 8ight. Also, the hd cups with steel inserts (for 8ight) may help as well.

Are the 8ight diff pins stronger? I'm not sure how the HD cups will help me out. I do have a set and will be using them, but I dont see how they will help.

The pins are the same im pretty sure. HD cups would maybe help if you were breaking the spider gear pins, but the ones you're breaking its just the pin material.. Cut a piece of drill bit or allen wrench type tempered steel thats round lol ? Heavy truck landing with the throttle on, snap. Not insinuating anything (cough) but lay off the throttle when jumping, tiny "blips" for correction. I havent broken one of those diffs at that spot yet, could see how some stronger pins there would be nice.

I know, a blip turns into a blipppppppppppppppp.
This truck also gets driven by my 7 year old son, so maybe that has something to do with it? It only seems to break when I drive it. He might be setting me up.

To do some damage like that the only explination I can come up with is something locking up and binding breaking things.

The split case was from a tooth off the pinion getting stuck in the ring gear.
The split diff side gear was from me running the truck after I knew it was broke, the question is what is causing the little diff pins to break.

Check the part numbers, I think the 8ight ones are different (they are different part numbers)

Ok
i will checkout the 8ight part numbers, cant hurt at this point.
