Radio question.... DSSS?!
Hey guys, I have a nomadio react radio and rx and was looking for a cheaper alternative to nomadio/spektrum RXs. On this page:
http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...re-Transceiver it says the nomadio uses FHDSS and DSSS. These RXs http://hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store...&ParentCat=190 use DSSS also. Would it be possible to use one of them on the react tx? Thanks! |
It my understanding it will work with spectrum rx's but you need to change it to 50 herts or somthing like that.
|
I know that but I want a cheaper option that nomadio/spektrum.
|
Honestly, I don't think you will find another option, unless you can find something that is compatible with Spektrum DSM-1 (not likely). The React was designed to work specifically with Spektrum (hence the whole DSSS beta thing).
|
OK, thanks for the help guys, I'll try and pick up a nomadio RX or a spekky.
|
You can find the Spektrum SR3000 for around $40 used.
|
I've been looking with no luck. Everyone seems to be asking around $55.

Nomadio doesn't do much RC stuff anymore, and they never made an "official" release of the Spektrum software.

they are cheap/nasty but also DSM1 |
Hmmm.... You may be on to something there...
