Radio question.... DSSS?!

Hey guys, I have a nomadio react radio and rx and was looking for a cheaper alternative to nomadio/spektrum RXs. On this page:
http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...re-Transceiver it says the nomadio uses FHDSS and DSSS. These RXs http://hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store...&ParentCat=190 use DSSS also. Would it be possible to use one of them on the react tx? Thanks!

It my understanding it will work with spectrum rx's but you need to change it to 50 herts or somthing like that.

I know that but I want a cheaper option that nomadio/spektrum.

Honestly, I don't think you will find another option, unless you can find something that is compatible with Spektrum DSM-1 (not likely). The React was designed to work specifically with Spektrum (hence the whole DSSS beta thing).

OK, thanks for the help guys, I'll try and pick up a nomadio RX or a spekky.

You can find the Spektrum SR3000 for around $40 used.

I've been looking with no luck. Everyone seems to be asking around $55.

Is it still a beta? Im waiting on Nomadio to get a response back to my buddy about his account. Lol, he cant remember his account info, so I cant register the radio to update it. He hasnt used this thing since like 07:lol:

Nomadio doesn't do much RC stuff anymore, and they never made an "official" release of the Spektrum software.

what about the losi recivers?
they are cheap/nasty but also DSM1

BL_RV0 08.05.2009 07:56 PM

They are just a rebaged Spektrum SR3000. Not much cheaper then the Spektrum stickered ones if at all.

I think they are a rebadged SR300, but yeah I agree they aren't poor quality or anything. Just as good as an official Spektrum.

shaunjohnson 08.06.2009 02:24 AM

yeah same same but i think they are a little bit cheaper...
