Hv pro esc
Can a hv pro esc run a tekin motor
|
Which esc are you specifically asking about and which Tekin motor
|
I have and e-revo with a hv pro 6.5 and wanted to know if a tekin tt2361 4038 2000kv sensored motor would work since the 6.5 is sensored and the tekin is also.
|
The Novak HV pro was designed to work only with sensored motors that include the motor temp sensor--we call it the "blue wire software". Unless the Tekin motors include this resistor, the HV pro will not be compatible, AFAIK.
I will check with Bob Monday about this. When this esc was released, there were no other sensored HV motors available. Quote:

all novak ESCs will work with any sensored motor... the temp cutoff will only work on novak motors though...
add some caps and a fan on the esc and it should be fine... |
It might work but the timing may not be correct. The novak hv motors like high timing which is provided by the HV-pro, but the tekin motors like lower timing. Not that it wont work, but its probably not recommended.

So a novak esc will run a 4 pole motor? Seeing as all of the novak are 2 pole motors, that would be the most pertinent question...
|
hi,
would the hv pro also work with sensorless motors? I wonder if I could use a hv pro on 5s (disabeling lipo-cutoff, using ubec) with a losi 4 pole xcelorin 1700kv. many thanks florian |

no, the esc is sensored only... |

The Havoc ESC specifically will not run a motor without a working temp sensor (unless you have kluged a resistor setup on the sensor cable). I know this from experience because I have a SS5800 motor with a failed temp sensor and the Havoc gives the LED error code for "no temp sensor" with this motor. It will not run it. |
