Will like to know the benefits of the 4 pole motors vs the 2 ones.

plenttenberg makes a lot of 4-pole motors
BK, Feigo, Nemesis, and Lehner are all 2-pole motors
2-pole motors are usually cheaper than 4-pole and there are less companies that make controllers for 4-pole motors and 4-pole controllers are also more expensive

Not necessarily. In theory, any controller that can handle 150,000 RPMs on a 2pole motor can handle 75,000 RPMs with a 4pole motor. It's just that the controllers out there that successfully run 4pole motors are more expensive (Schulze 18.97).

the 4-polers are typically smoother and have alot of torque as compared to a 2-poler but the xl motors would blow away a maxx or bigmaxx according to people who have had both.

when i wrote that i was thinking of schulze also schulze controllers seem to have a tendancy to burn up

Ya like only a few like maybe 2-3 people.

I have both, only thing is I haven't had time to try the 7XL long enough but from my initial impression, I didn't think it would blow it away, that being said, I can't really say which is more powerful. Just people tend to be more biased towards another brand without hard data and/or enough data, or people just speculate.
