Slipperential models compatibility?

Hello,
in the description we can read that :

Quote:

The unit is a "drop in" upgrade for Mugen, Losi, AE, XRay and similarly sized diff compartments on buggies and truggies. The aforementioned diffs are among the smallest on the market today, so the Slipperential can be shimmed into larger openings on many other vehicles.
Can you please help me to make a list of models that can use the slipperential without mods?

I begin teh list, please tell me if I am wrong :

Asso RC8 - needs minor shimming under bulks and under top plate to allow spur gear clearance
Asso RC8T
Losi Eight - drop in
Losi Eight T - drop in
Mugen MBX(4/5/6) -
Mugen Athlète & Super Athlète
Hyper 7/8/9 - fits 7, 8, ST - does NOT fit Hyper 9
Ofna X1 (X2?) - requires shims for proper spacing between bulks(Slipperential is shorter than Ofna diff)
Caster buggy & truggy - drop in(may need shims on buggy for spur clearance)
Ishima Rave 01
Protech yado
Hobbytech STR8
Piktor Rush 2
Kyosho MP7XX - requires shims for proer bulk spacing
Kyosho Inferno ST - requires shims for proper bulks spacing
....

I need confirmation, thanks a lot for your help.

Thats what this thread is supposed to be. It should be a good start to your list if you want to go through it.

If it works with Hyper 7/8/9 then it works with ST and ST Pro also.

would this work on a mammoth st?

The 46T won't really work with a Hot Bodies Ve8 unless you use a massive pinion (like around 22+T).

I've got the 52T coming, but won't know whether it will fit or not - it might be a bit too big.

Quite a lot of dremeling needs to happen to get the main body of the slipperential to fit - and it needs to be shimmed an awful lot to fit properly.

Hello,
does it fit Xray 808 and XB8 / XT8 without mods?
It could be great if RC monster could test on every cars and tell us the compatibility.
Thanks for your help !

The slipperential fits the xt8 and xb8 directly without any mods - you will need to add about 3mm spacing underneath the center diff assembly for the 808, though.

Will it fit a Ten-T?

RC-Monster Mike 01.24.2011 12:02 PM

It will not fit the "Ten" vehicles - they use a somewhat smaller diff with small diameter shafts and long outdrives.
