rcm crt.5 kit question
I just order my rcm extend kit for my crt.5 and i want to know if the kit have change since last year??
Is somethings is new on it? |
Mike's newer kit v3 is 1/4" longer than his previous kit and the chassis is black on the new kits I believe
|
It'll make the CRT.5 a 1/10 by wheel base length.
I was out running mine today and if I had some tires with a smaller side wall I could have easily kept up with the 1/8 buggy(s). What makes for a good high traction tire that is similar to the proline truggy LPR tires? |

5s on a 2200kv 1515. You might be able to squeeze a 1515 in there. I haven't test fitted mine to me crt.5
|
Mike tell me it'll fit, i'll keep you inform of it

And how much weight did you need to add to the front to keep on the ground? And I thought a 1509 was way overkill. Who spends nearly $300 on a motor and puts it in a crt.5?
|
1509?? That is something I would use in my pan car. LOL
The crt.5 doesn't wheelie with the gearing I use. And actually I was running a B50 7400kv Hacker motor in the CRT.5 in the Texas heat today. Zero wheelies, 160F batteries and plenty of speed for dragracing. Still had enough ummphh to powerslide through the oval track that the LHS had laid out. |
Just recieved my RCM kit today, and my Hyperion 0715i charger and Hyperion 3300mAh, 5s G3 VX pack.
I'll built it tonight and post somes pics tomorrow.:yipi: |

geez guys my mm medusa 3300kv on 3s is just insane. I couldnt imagine trying for anymore. I can wheelie whenever i want. And speed is just to much for my driving style. As i run 1/10 truck tires. I am still trying to find ways to make her more stable at high speed on the gladiator tires. But nothing ever seems to work.
|
How fast are you trying to go anyway?
|
I never understood people doing speed runs in a 4wd car it just isnt meant for that type of driving if you ask me.
Now dont get me wrong i love to give my car a full throttle run here and there. But if i want to go fast. I do it in an onroad car or 2wd truck or buggy. Something that isnt as heavy. But i guess thats the fun of the hobby everyone has different ideas on things. |
