MMMV3 and Neu 1515 2.5d CastleLink Settings?
 

Hey guys, I'll be getting this combo back up and running, maybe today if I'm lucky.

I've used CL several times before, and I think with no problems. I was just hoping to get some clarification on certain settings.

Motor timing: I'm assuming normal or maybe even Low. I want cooler temps. I only bash.

Lipo Cutoff: I'm using two 3s Flightpower 25C 5000mah batteries in series. And I really don't know if I should select something other than "auto"?

Drag Brake: I usually don't use any. But maybe a slight bit would be cool to try?

Braking Power: My last set up was VERY VERY sensitive, and this will be the same. Even at like 30%, a slight tap of the brakes in the air would cause the truck to just nose dive. There was no subtley to it like my 3.3 Revo. Maybe that is just the way it is with such a powerful motor? I know that braking can cause ESC failure if you don't know what you're doing. I wish it wasn't that sensitive. I'm scared to death that the wrong setting will fry my ESC. Everything has me paranoid now.

I'll be using Reverse with Lockout for sure.

I'm assuming I'll want to use the default Brushless motor power setting.

Also, I had been running my Punch at 60%. I may try to increase that to 80%. is that a problem?

I'll also pull my braking curve down a bit too, but I'm not sure about what to do if anything to the Throttle curve.

Timing: Low or Medium, probably medium as 4 pole motors like a bit of advance.

LVC: 3.2-3.3v per cell, auto lipo setting of 3.0v per cell is abit low.

Drag brake: dont like it myself, plus 4 pole motors have a natural drag brake effect anyway- good for racing and slinging the truck round corners.

Braking power: Low brake strength maybe, I run 40%. You can always play with the brake curve to reduce the instant feel to the brakes (add some exponential by dragging the line down at the 1/3 mark a little bit to make the line a curve).

You can do the same thing to the throttle curve, and it will reduce the tendancy for the truck to want to wheelie- kinda like having extra smooth accelerator control.

Higher punch control will reduce the tendancy to wheelie and produce lower temps, but it will also reduce the responsiveness of the throttle when you start getting to higher speeds.
