genral all around tire

I'm looking for a genral all around tire for my erevo. I was looking at the HPI gt tires http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXDLB2&P=K and Traxxas trx sport wheels http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXDAE3&P=K I usually drive on pavement, but I want a tire that would be good in grass and on dirt roads. Do you guys think these would be a good choice?

i say use maxx tires! i love em cuz they last forever!

Yeah, but they suck for traction.

I would recomend Proline Maxx Mashers. They have great traction offroad and they won't get destroyed on the street.

I would stray away from the traxxas wheels, I heard they are cheap and can't hold up the power most brushless guys put them through.

I would say mashers or the stock talons are the best for bashing

Thanks for the replys. I was also looking at the crime fighters, but those are more of a racing tire. Re~Mix the stock revo wheels (gemini's) heldup just fine to my 9L. I was also looking at the Maximizers new truggy bead lock, but have 17mm hexs. anybody know of any other bead locks that would work with standered maxx tires.

i would stay away from geminis because the spokes break easily. the hurricanes are much better. as for tires, the talons are nice but a good crime fighter would be better for almost any suface. the mashers however are pretty good for almost anything as well as they will last a while.

If the gemini's are stock i've never had a problem with them

so do you think the crime fighters would work well for grass? How fast do you think they would were on the street?

i always here that zombie maxx tires are the best for all around bashing, they are a bit heavier than normal but get good traction on everything.

it depends on how you drive, what your running, ect. but i would say only on the street, a good while although i dont really run my on the street but to tune my truck. however, they do hook up better on the street than my road rages so thats saying something. oh, and yes, they do hook up well on grass just as long as its not wet. they slide like crazy on wet grass.

The best tire I have found if not concerned about weight a dirt hawg is a pretty good tire. I have run them on street dirt grass sand. The have decent grip in all of the above listed. You can get the 40 series beadlocks by proline. 23mm hexes so no problem on hexes to strip out. They seem to be wearing very well to. They are just not a light tire.

depends on the truck scale size you have...most likely 1/10...
i think your best bets are for sand: SLINGSHOT
for road:ROADRAGE 2 OR 1
for all round:MOAB AND BOW TIE 40 SERIES

Sylvester 02.12.2006 10:26 PM

bow ties wouldnt be the best for all-around uses.

squeeforever 02.12.2006 11:52 PM

i beg to differ. the crimes are definately the best all around.
