Savage Flux HP as a Offroad race car

Hi,

just would like to know what changes I have to do to prepare car for race? What parts I have to tune to get optimal setup.

Thank you.

Put the Flux body on a Truggy or Revo ?

i would look into somehow getting a center diff or at least a longer chassis and better tires.

the hpi suspension upgrade kit will also help.

i reccomend getting a traxxas e-revo brushless edition

If its Flux vs Flux, then it would be a good race, just like the old days of clodbuster racing, people forget that there is such a thing as a race class dedicated to a particular type of brand of vehicle. If however its flux vs emaxx or erevo, then you wont do too well; lower the suspension, stiffen it up a bit, and find some nice grippy truggy wheels and tires for your particular track.

Don;t get me wrong I love the Savage Flux, best MT I have had, tough as nails, but a racer it aint.

If u wanna race get a revo, if u want to bash and do some really stupid stunts, get the Savage.

Thank you for comments. Yep I am looking at traxxas e-revo brushless edition. Could you suggest maybe some rc online shops with good prices? Maybe in China or HK? But that for next season... :-) Now i have Flux and I am happy with it :-)

About tires. I can not understand what size of wheels and what size of tires do fit on Flux? Is there some standards? I know that I need 17mm hex wheels but what offset, what diameter, width and ect.? There is a lot of 2,2" wheels. Do they will fit on? I think not... Could some one propose some wheels and tires with links, please. that is how track looks like

Oh, and by the way, off topic question. What 1/10 buggy.truggy or smth you could propose for race on the same track? It has to be brushed motor (540-560) with upgrade possibility for brushless (540-550). No carbon chassis...

Thank you,

Audrius

PS: or point me where I can ask that question...

2.2" wheels are for 1/10 scale

you need TRUGGY wheels and tires. look for LPR wheels, VTR wheels or any other truggy size tire (3.2" for high profile bashing tire to 3.8-4" low profile racing)

Savage flux is NOT race worthy you would need to spend lot of money to make it wotking well on the track. for monster truck racing get revo.
