Brushless Aftershock

Here is a few pictures of my latest project, a Team Losi Aftershock with the MMM combo.

I run it with a 4s lipo and a 5s lipo, which provide it with plenty of power. Currently I am running 70t. spur and 25t. pinion, from the old 2 speed system. I cannot get it to shift into second gear, due to not enough space with the Motormount from TD-racing. I guess I have to get the single speed conversion from TD-racing, to get the last performance out of it.

The truck performs very well, and I consider it one of my best trucks ever, outclassing my former Gorilla E-maxx and E-revo BL edition.

is that a working 2spd clutch on there? what clutchbell is that? did you have to mod it to make it work on your motor?

looks very nice btw. nice and clean. i like clean.

It is the 2 speed clutch from the Finedesign conversion. It does not work with the TD motormount, but it is not really needed though. The MMM system provides plenty of power with this gearing on 5s lipo.

I am considering changing the places between the batterytray ant the esc, to move the weight a bit forward. As it is now, I realy have to control the throttle to keep the frontwheels on the ground. Even when give 2/3 of the power, an then gives full speed, the front wheels will launch like an airplane.

Definately do that! I've got an LST1 with a Plettenberg Bigmaxximum and Quark 125B on 5S LiPo with mech brakes. The LiPo is at the front, but it still makes almost-standing backflips! It's so damn overpowered!

But just a question for you: I drove my truck maybe 2 packs, and I already broke 2 pins which are in the driveshafts, is this normal? I mean these pins:

So far nothing has broken. But yes it is way overpowered - NICE :mdr:

Can you post some pictures of your conversion?

To Ruy James: Mike have a 2 speed clutch for the LST that is way better than the Finedesign version.

Lucky you! I already stripped 4 hexes and those 2 pins...

I'll when I get home, and will also post a vid of my one-and-a-half-backflip  Btw, I'm using the TD-Racing 2-speed, geared 18/70 25/63 and self made motor mount and battery tray. (Both look CRAP, but I haven't got good tools here)
