First FLM Experience
My first FLM parts arrived yesterday and I must say WOW. Everything is packaged very nicely and seperated in the package.
Here is a pic of the parts I recieved for my rusty. http://www.rc-monster.com/images/netman/flmparts.jpg I hope to start putting things together this weekend. Then I am just waiting for FLM to release the chassis and tranny case. When I am done I have a SS5800 to through in. I may want to upgrade to a Feigao motor later. Here is a pic of my rusty as of now. http://www.rc-monster.com/images/netman/rusty3-600.gif I am going with the extended arm conversion kit. I already have the sebs wide conversion done using the RPM Losi arms in the front and run Nitro front wheels all around. I havent opened the package yet but when holding the arms next to the truck the front arms are a perfect match to the Losi arms i am currently running but the shock positions match up better to the stock arms. The rear arms are a little long than stock. I wont know for sure until I get the truck apart to see how much. The arm conversion kit comes with all neccessary mounting hardware and even comes with turnbuckles. These are arms are very beefy. I want to get the weights of these new items compared to stock. All of the parts feel very comparable to the stock weight. I will report back when I have finished. |
I started tearing down my rusty and got the frontend built. Here is a pic.
http://www.rc-monster.com/images/netman/rustyfront.gif I was also able to get some weights on the FLM parts. Stock Parts =================== Bulkhead 26g Front Tower 14g Rear Tower Not known yet Front Ext Arms 16g (Losi RPM) Rear Ext Arms Not know yet Fastlane Parts ===================== Bulkhead 42g Front Tower 24g Rear Tower 38g Front Ext Arms 22g Rear Ext Arms 26g |
Looks great! So the # on the left is the aluminum weight?
Thank You |

Thanx, much easier to read. Well my lot of FLM parts (used, from phildog) came today, very nice stuff. For some reason the pins I bought that was on Misbeahin's site for the rear arms do not fit. They are to short by a very little bit, I tryed different pins (same size) and even tried using the other a-arm. I guess I will take it to the hobby shop and see what they have.
Would you mind telling me exactly what parts I need for the widen conversion? I know I need a set of front rims, and the FLM extended arms, but what else. Thank You |
Well if you buy these they come with 6 turnbuckles and all the correct pins.

Thanx, I got the answer, though.
What I ment is I bought a lot of FLM parts (extended arms) and they are to short. Should of made it clear, sorry. |
