Installed new parts

I was finally able to install the new battery tray I received from RC-Monster 2 months ago while I was on deployment. I also installed a plastic screen on top of the fan to prevent any peebles from getting into it. The original POS Castle fan is broke so I replaced it with an Evercool 30mm x 30mm x 7mm computer fan. I just need to remove the plug from the Castle fan and solder it into this new fan. I also installed the body I bought from Respi a few months back.

Anyway, here are some pics.

Love the paint job...looks fast just sitting there. Did you paint it? What material did you use as a screen...great ideal BTW.

The body was painted by respirology. He's one of the regulars over at the UE forum. I wish I can paint that good.

I like.

I like the home made truck stand you put together there. How does that work out for you?

George16 09.14.2009 02:04 AM

Jerry, it works well. I have 4 of them. I made it from plans in misbehavin's website. He's the ash hole moderator over at the traxxas forum.

Sorry for interupting your thread, but do you have the plans for that thing, and can you share them with us? I wouldn't mind making my own stand, and I like the way that one looks. Plus you can modify it to sute your own needs once you have a basic setup.

Hmm, I love the mesh idea. You must do something about the rust on the front shafts and screws though :p

No problem Jerry. Here's the link:

Work Stand

Mystro, I haven't run it for a few months because I was on deployment hence the rust. Besides, our onbase track is located at the mouth of Tokyo Bay :lol:.

Thanks Lito. I printed it up and since I am heading for Charlotte next month for October's RaceWeek I will be able to pick up everything that I need to make it and ship the stuff here. Thats the one thing I really do miss overseas is The Home Depot or Lowes Hardware. Trying to finding hardware stuff over here in Korea is rediculous. All they have are the little mom & Pop shops that carry the bare minimum. Even when we were in Europe it was hard to find a good hadware store that carries stuff like they do. I am sure that you will be seeing my stand in future posts. Thanks and have a great day Chief.

Glad to see you are able to work on your trucks again!

George16 09.14.2009 08:43 PM

I sure do but will be going out to sea again in about 3 weeks for almost 2 months.
