New bow-tie tire!!!

Pro-line have just announced a new slim line Bow Tie MT tire. They say its 15% lighter than the standard bow tie, which by my calculations puts it in a 124g - and crime fighters MT are 134g! Heres a link incase anyones interested:

Those should be a pretty nice tire. They should have a little less sidewall roll compared to the standard ones. Myself I've come to like the 40 series tires although they tend to damage rims a little easier. Thanks for the link.:dft009:

Looks a lot like the same height as a Panther Komodo...should be real nice.

komodo's are less high.

JOHNNYMAXXIMA 02.18.2006 04:13 AM

Which weighs less, the Komodo or this new Bow Tie?
Thanks.

Serum 02.18.2006 04:28 AM

Serum 02.18.2006 04:29 AM

Stupid, not more bow tie's. Make some 40 serie mulcher's allready!

Personally I'd like a new tire tread from pro-line. They havn't come out with a new one for ages....

I just ordered a set of sporttraxx tires off ebay, I really like the look of them. Hopefully they'll be up to it performance wise.

Sneeck 02.18.2006 05:28 AM

Can´t take much rpm.

Scott711 02.18.2006 12:27 PM

My sprottraxx have held up good for romping around the neighborhood and have good traction but I've noticed since going with the 8XL and lipos that on speed runs they elongate a bit. I've only run the with 14/51 so I can imagine how they might stretch going to taller gearing. I blame it on the heavier ramped nobs in the middle. I'd like to try a 40 series step pin for looser conditions but I don't think they make that in a 40.

Looks like I'll be using some duck tape then! Cheers for the heads up Sneeck
