Need advice on which motor
 

I am going to order the 9920 and a motor for my e-maxx. None of the xl's seem to be in stock here. what is a good motor that will hit 40mph and still have excellent torque on 12-16 cells?

A 10L, thats what i went with , i am running 14-16 cells, a 10L will be good on 12-16 cells, a 8L is fastest on 12 cells, the 9L is fastest on 14 cells, and 10L is fastest on 16 cells. i Went with the 10L because i can run inbetween 12-16 cells.

would the feigao 8l or 9l bee good choices. are they compatable with the 9920?

Like i said, a 8L is good for 12 cells, a 9L is good for 14 cells and a 10L is good for all. Lets say you use 12 cells, you can use a 10L and get better runtimes with less "punch".

The 10L would have little less heat with the 12 cells to.

12-14 cells, I would say 9l, unless you ever wanted to try 16.

i got the 9l. what gear will work with the stock 66 tooth spur gear?

id try a 14 or a 15t pinion to start off with. The stock spur wont last you very long.

9L is good, thats wut i got, I might sell to u if ur intersted. lol

thanks, what kind of spur will hold up? this is an expensive hobby. my e went into the pond and fried all stock components. i have alot on order this week
