Anyone ran a Novak/LRP/SP 10.5R on 3s?

I have an E-CTR.5 1/12 truggy, planning to run 3S A123 or 3S Lipo. I am wondering if a 10.5R motor (about 3800kv) 540S-type brushless at 3S will work or not.

Will 3S A123/Lipo burnt out these motors?

Where I live, there is no Medusa or Neu available.

You could always do mail order. I know of store that ends with Monster and starts with RC, I hear they sell such things as "Neu":mdr:
But seriously, that motor should work just fine, it just won't have as much torque or power as the Neu or Medusa you mentioned. A Medusa 50mm or a Neu 1506 would be better, and not too much more money (unless you already own one).

thanks for the 'hints' of where i can order the neu.

the reason i asked about the other brands is because most other brands only list their motors based on 2S. so with 3S of voltage, would that burnt out the motor quickly.

another choice i can look into is Mamba 4600kv, in which it officially can support up to 3s.
