Trim Motor Wires on Savage Flux?

Ok, has anyone shortened the motor wires on the Flux yet? They seem to be WAY too long given the ESC location. I know the Castle NEU motors can have their wires clipped but can the Savage Flux or is there some strange reason they are almost as long as the chassis?

Shortening those wires can only help, provided you are able to create a good solder joint between the (newly shortened) wire and 6.5mm plug

I had a pain,I had too buy a new solder gun ,30 watts did not get it.Then I drilled out the plugs too clean them, and went too far on one and made a hole through the bottom.4 hours later I was done.

Moral of the story-Buy new plugs and dont try to be cheap like me!

Drilling the plugs to clean them? If you're talking about the wire side where you solder it into, you dont need to clean it, just reheat the solder & maybe add a little more as you stick the wire back in to solder it in place; just use good quality rosin cored solder.
