right pinion?
what would be the correct type of pinion to run on a mmm v3 in a mbx5t with standard center diff? i notice there are a few different ones for sale here on rcmonster and am uusure of what sort to use(am new to 1/8,brushless and offroad......cant you tell:lol:)

Well, what motor and voltage do you plan to run? If you are going with the castle 2200 motor on 4s, you can run something like the std nitro clutchbell, which would be around 13t.
A little more info on your setup, and desired use/top speed would be very helpful in making a gearing suggestion. |
i have a mbxst which i plan to run a mmm v3 with turnigy 5000 30c 4s lipo. would a 5mm bore, mod1 pinion suit?
|
Yes, you need a 5mm mod1 hardened pinion. The rcm pinions are the best, I spoke to rcm Mike (site owner) and he gave me the dirty detail on his pinions. Sufice to say they are the best you will get, and the prices are good too.

I take it that you are running the CC/Neu 2200 that comes in the MMM v3 combo correct?
Also, do you know what spur gear is on the center diff? |
yip.its the standard 46t muge gear
|
A 13T or 14T pinion should do the trick.
