Cracking Sound

I have encountered a problem, whenever i speed up and than use the brake i get this "cracking" sound, but just before installing the new RPM shock towers i never had this problem, and i put on the stock ones and geuss what, no sound! For a moment i thought it was somthing in my diff's or tranny, i am surprised that shock towers could make such a sound, well soon i will have my g3 race suspension for better looks and more durability :) Also today when i was driving in the snow i tristed ALL my front and rear diffs, oh well my rd-logic cvd's should come sometime tomorrow, now my e-maxx awaits its new hop ups :) P.S : thanks mike for the fast service, i tracked my order not that long ago and its already in Canada! Thanks, i will be buying from you again.

It definately sounds like a diff to me. Perhaps in the process of changing shock towers, you allowed some slack in the bulks or plastic diff cases (perhaps the towers are a touch wider than the stockers and causes this?)? Just a guess, but it sounds an aweful lot like a diff.

Well it "Couldve" been the diff, i had a spare stock diff lying around the house and switched one of the rear twisted diff's (forgot to mention that 1 rear diff twisted before installation) Well im just glad its not my tranny :)

I also had this and I think it's a diff and not a shocktower.
