mamba monster esc problem no lights no sound nothing
hey guys,
ok finally got my monster system set up and ready to go... charged my batteries connected them and then held the trigger to the full throttle position to calibrate and hit the switch and nothing happened... nothing no lights no sound nada... the rx plug is in the correct way and i have power to my steering servo... any help would be greatly appreciated... any questions please let me know.. thanks -Jim |
Maybe the switch is dead.:oh:
|
well i think the switch works because i will be able to steer when i hit the switch and then won't be able to when the switch is off so i don't think thats it
|
sorry for the double post guys,
but i tried connecting it through the castle link program both on Vista-64(which now i understand isn't supported) as well as on Windows XP and neither times it connected... the software detected the castle link but not the esc... don't know what this means either but figured it might help somebody who can figure it out thanks, -Jim |
Curious...
Did the castlelink get hot at all when you hooked everything up to the PC? Havent done anything like disabled the BEC and running an external BEC or rx pack etc? |
no i haven't messed with it at all...
so my question is how do i disable the BEC and just run an rx pack... dunno if it would help or not but its worth a try... EDIT: nevermind solved my own question... don't wanna do that haha... but i haven't messed with anything... soldered on my deans connectors and thats about it haha still no workin ESC :( if anybody can help it would be greatly appreciated -Jim |
Im out of ideas really- you do have a motor connected up to the esc I take it?
 At this stage I can only suggest phoning them up, or perhaps PMing either Thomas or Joe- either way they should be able to guide you through the setup procedure in case you missed anything obvious or obscure, but that fact the castlelink doesnt register the esc cant be a good thing, esc may be borked on some level... |
Jim,
PM sent. Sounds like we have a dead monster on our hands. Please reply to my PM and we'll figure out how to revive the little bugger. Thomas Porfert Castle Tech Support |
Thomas,
PM'd back. Any help would be great... as the suspense is building to get this baby movin haha @suicideneil yes the motor is hooked up and i've also tried it without the motor, reversing the motor wires etc... to no avail unfortunately :( thanks, -Jim |
