Roto Start plate is bad... question...?

Hey guys... My LST2 started running weird recently. It starts up and idles, but when you give it throttle, it just gets richer and richer, bogs, then dies.

I noticed that my Axial Multi-position roto start plate for some reason has deteriorated on the top (It's not that old!!), and you can see some of the gear inside. I'm pretty sure THAT is the problem. The starter works and all, but I'm guessing that because the casing is broken or chewed away, that it's creating an air leak big enuff to cause my motor to die under throttle.

Does that sound right? Because if that isn't the problem, I'm at a loss!

It's weird because I think that HEAT from a faulty header seal caused the plastic on top of the rotostart plate to go bad. I have no clue how suddenly a hole can develop, but it did. Pretty big too! I took it apart, and there is no damage inside, and the gears spin just fine. But since it's near the exhaust, I'm not sure that I can "patch it", because that's all it needs really.

Thanks!
Jason

The smallest of air leaks will cause all kinds of tuning problems, If it's as bad as you say then thats def the problem !

Yank the motor and convert that one too !

Ya coulda just emailed me dude, not gonna get much of a response on a BL forum ?
You silly Meatus.
