help with gliching on racemaxx

hey guys,

i took my racemaxx out for a run a few days ago. this was my first time running it since i tore it down and rebuilt it with supermaxx stuff. the truck would get about 100 feet away and start gliching lick crazy. i mean late throttle reponce, twiching of steering, in and out of full thottle, ect. i cant really figure out why its doing this. this is also my first real run with the brushless system. i must have something to close to something, but i dont know what. heres a pic of my truck with the setup. im really stumped, you guys got any ideas? i just dont know:confused:

I'm no expert, nor do I play one on TV, but maybe it might help if you switched the location of the receiver with the receiver pack. That would put a little more distance between the receiver and the motor.

I had the same problem when i ran my truggy at the East Coast regionals last year - I'm running the same antenna mount you are - mounted diectly to the chassis and aluminum. I put a piece of fuel tubing over the wire from the receiver to where it goes in the antenna holder - and that solved it for me - the receiver wire was held too close to the chassis - Its worth a shot - let me know if it works for you as well....

Well, I´m not an expert either, rather a n00b.
But what radio are you running?
Is it me or is your receiver a traxxas?
If your still on the TQ3, which is AM (same as me) then 100 feet is a decent range, or so I was told.
Your symptoms match exactly what I get with the TQ3 on my 9918 at about 100 feet (30m, I think). I blame the short range of my radio.:W:

It looks like a JR receiver to me. I think HotnCold nailed it. It looks like the receiver antenna is resting on the aluminum. I usually sleave my antenna wires in fuel tubing between the receiver and the antenna mount to keep interference minimized.

problem solved!! i put some fuel tubing where you told me to and that fixed the problem. i finally got to run today. we still have 3 feet of snow, but my road is dry with a ton of dry sand from the plow trucks. its kinda fun to drive on it. thanks
