Mamba Moster Max BEC and maxi servo

I would use this maxi servo on Mamba Monster Max with its internal BEC.

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXN610&P=7

Theese are the specs of the servo:

8mA idle and 800mA at zero-load operation
Speed: 0.20 sec. at 60° w/ 8.4V battery.
Output Torque: 16.0 kg-cm (224 oz-in) at 4.8V.

Can I use it without problems or do I need an external BEC?
How many Mah can handle the mamba monster max BEC?

IDK but that is a slow @$$ sevo... its probably .30-.40 at 6v:surprised:

yeah...very very slow!!!
you'll need a very long arm in it to speed up the steering response.

Q. What vehicle was this servo going to be used in?

gyn77 10.28.2009 04:12 AM

I would use it in this homemade vehicle:

I know that this servo is very slow, but my ask was if mamba monster max can
handle this servo without external BEC.

Now I'm using a Tower Pro MG995, I think this hitec maxi servo could work better.

I believe the BEC in the MMM is rated for either 3 or 5amps @ ~6v, so it should be fine. That said, I would go with a better servo regardless- hobbycity sell a ton of really nice items with similar torque ratings & metal gears, worth having a look around before settling on that hitec monster.

Ok thanks for mamba monster bec specs, I will see on hobbycity for a faster maxi servo with metal gears instead of this Hitec.
