which medusa motor

Should i get a 36-60
or 36-70 for my rc8.

Sorry either would be the 2000kv motor run on 4s lipo hyperion packs 5000mah g3 series.

either would work nicely...the 70mm would run a bit cooler seeing that it is a bigger motor

Cooler is always better. Well I guess 10 bucks for low temps is well worth it. As at least mike has some of the medusa motors left I might just buy a couple for stock. As I always like to have extras for my cars.

I am running the ccneu 2200kv in my mbx-5 which I converted to an on road car and I can gear it to the moon and it still runs cool....so a little bigger one is always better

That's the setup I was running in the rc8. Now I want to try to tame it a little bit for the track the 2200 on 4s was just obnoxious. Geared 48/ 17. So I think if I go to a 2000 and 4s with same gearing I should be a bit better. Than again I love my buddys rcm rc8 with the 2650 but runs a little hot for my taste.

A 2000kv set up on 4s is definitely the ticket for track racing. Atlothough the 2200 set up only using 80% throttle is also a good way to go. On my truggy, I use the 2200 set up on 5s and only need 80% throttle for long run times and it is still crazy fast when I want it to be.
