What setting's are you useing on your MMM?
Hey guys, just wanted to know what setting's you guy's are using on your MMM. I am using my in a losi 8t, i race for time to time and just wanted
to know what you guy's set your's to. I am looking for somthing that will run cool for a race, and what gearing you use as well mostly on a losi 8t2.0 truggy. Thanks. |
This gives you a basic idea, its my Savage Flux MMM

Well, let us know what motor you are using and what gearing you are using.
I usually set the punch and brake at 50% and work from there. Brake setting is pretty obvious, increase it until the truck brakes too hard. Punch control I usually work the other way, decrease it until the vehicle feel a bit sluggish. These setting will maximize runtime, but the best way to get great results is drive very smoothly. Try not to brake hard, and accelerate smoothly. I also set the start power at medium, and leave the timing at normal. |
I am useing a mmm esc and a castle 2200 motor,with a 46 tooth spur and have used a
12, 14. 15, pinion. The 12 ran a bit slow,15 seems to run a bit hot at times, the highest was about 160, so i tryed a 14 seems to be a good all around pinion, temps run about 120 to 145.And have had the problem that a lot o f people have had here, the dreaded FAN! Have had 2 fans go bad so i pull it out and ran it without it for a while.Temps seem to go up and down just trying to find the right setup. |
On my mmm w/my mbx-5T and the ccneu 2200kv on 5s
low start power low timing 60% brakes 50% punch control 50% rev. 3.3 lvc no drag brake rev. w/delay |
MMM 2200kv 8ight t 1.0
start power - Low timing- low brakes 30% punch control 40% reverse 30% autolipo - because i use different batterys 4s and 5s. drag brake disabled. Just like linc said. Drive smooth try not to brake hard did i mention drive smooth. I also run a 48 t spur with a 14t pinion my fan almost never comes on. Dont forget esc has to reach 150 for it to come on. Running 5s will help temps as it doesnt work as hard. Did we mention to drive smooth. Just cause it is 4wd doesnt mean you have to go full throttle all the time trust me you are faster being smooth. Did i mention drive smooth. |
You guys do realize you can save your setting to a file from within the link software, then open it up in notepad to see the settings right? Then you can copy/paste them here. Sure beats taking screenshots or writing everything down...

Lol see now that would seem lazy to me. Typing is good keeps you on top of it.
