studdering mamba monster?
 

hey guys,

ok so i have a mamba monster system in my 1/8 ofna buggy and the problem is that it is studdering like i will have the throttle gunned but then it will pause a couple seconds into the line... here is the link to the video... don't worry about not being about to see the buggy just listen to it when it sounds like it suddenly cuts and then goes again. it's not me :( any advice would be great

Sounds like radio glitching. IMO 2.4ghz is a must in 1/8 scale, especially in residential neighborhoods. But first, be sure it's there are no bad soldering connections or you can risk damage to your esc.

first love the quote in ur sig bout the tires haha... and yea i've checked and re-solder all the connections i did and the esc is fresh from castle... i'll have to try with a different radio... anything else it could be?

What is the LVC set to on the MMM?

It does sounds like radio glitching to me too. I wouldn't think it's an LVC issue because it seems to do it even when deccelerating where current draw is lowest.

If you don't have a spare radio, you can eliminate the location by simply going to a wide open area devoid of power lines. Of course, if the radio signal is being garbled by the brushless motor/ESC noise, that won't help. Also, see if you can move the antenna as far away from the motor wires as possible. This probably won't cure it, but if it helps at all, then you know the signal is being garbled. I agree, 2.4Ghz is a must. Are you using an AM radio? If so, that is most likely your problem.

lot of magnetic force coming off the phase wires...might try reverting the antenna as far away as possible?
i though everyone was running 2.4 by now! (kinda gets me worried because blue tooth interferes with it and there is only 80 spots on the band)

ok sounds like it's a radio problem then cuz i took it to a park yesterday (still some wires) and it wasn't as much of a problem but still happened... so i'll get a new radio system
