Brushless Information needed
 

I currently am new here. I was referred by a member that is in the traxxus forums. I ma inquiring about brushless systems for the emaxx and am not sure where to go. I'm looking at getting the 9920/9L set up, but heard they get HOT. Any suggestions? Yes, i need major schooling!!!:007:

the age old question....how many cells? also, what does the truck currently have as far as hopups? steel idler? cvds? anything?

Like Squee asked, how many cells are you planning on running? and how fast do you want to go?

you must know that you need good batteries with a powerfull setup, because the limit of the power is allmost always set by the quality of the batteries.

i would recoomend an xl over the l but the turn depends on how many cells you are going to use

i think he's looking at 12-14 cells for starters (i reffered him), welcome aboard.

I have to E-Maxx's, both with the 9920/9L combo. I have never had any heat issues with mine. I guess alot of that would have to do with how many cells is run (I run 14) and what the gearing is also. But no heat issues on either of mine.

Welcome ther neweuser. What kind of money you looking to spend to? I like the xl more myself than the L motors. You get same speed more power for 10 bucks more or so. But it does take some upgrades to harness the power.

Hey guys, i am going to be runnin 14 ib3800's, i have no hop ups "yet" but they are also going to be on the way. Tax time is going to be here soon. I have had my truck for some time and smashed the XXXX out of it the other day. Truck met ROCK real quick, so i figured, since i had it all torn down to build it back right. But, i want to go about or, how does squee put it...CRAZY

9920/ 9xl will work perfect. Or the 7xl which is more powerfull, but is a bit power hungry(9xl will give longer runtime's over the 7xl)

You need a few upgrade's to keep running. Cvd's, steel idler and stronger diff's(atleast alum housing's) are needed to get the power to the wheel's.

You really need more than 14cells to realiably hit the big speeds (50mph+). Still if power is what you want then a 7XL is the answer, and should give you just over 40mph on 14cells. The 9XL will be slightly slower, but with better runtimes.
