epic race day.
put the monster to work, it was raining, main straight had 1" of mud/water slurry.

best tactic was to give it the beans before the 10 meter wet section and the front would baloon up, dig in and get traction while the rear just aqua planned along behind:party::rofl:

this day was only for the most hardcore racers:lol:
castle tough!
pics, one is a converted platty revo (my mates)
the brown beetle is mine. (see sig for specs)
quote of day
"buckey, which one is yours?"
"the brown one!!"

Had to be a blast out there. Time to strip it down and put it in the dishwasher. How many hardcore racers stuck around for the fun or had fun?

Did the MMMs survive?

Bondonutz 11.22.2009 09:01 AM

Sounds like a great time !

Can't say I'd run mine in the mud and water like that, your more daring than myself.

What chassis is your Revo platformed on, looks flat in the pic ?

I don't know if I'd trust my MMM or MM Pro to that kind of running.

The VXL esc, no dramas, I'd run it all day in the mud and it'd be fine.

shaunjohnson 11.22.2009 09:14 PM

i hope the MMM is ok...i have decided not to boot it up until it is bone dry and i have cleaned it! but it was working until i turned it off after the meet.

the body off revo is a platty revo, it has polycarbonate pannels added to help keep some dirt out and hold the electronics.
mine is a similar layout but on a 2.5 chassis.

was the last electric points race of the year too...funnily, all the electric guys have positions of power in the up coming cub titles :rules:

mud running is awsome fun, today i think the mud is dry enough to clean off the MMM with the compressot, oil up the CVD's and attempt to boot it up later on:whip:
