Very fond of Demon Hunter's cover of Prong's "Snap Your Fingers Snap Your Neck"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxrkN-_l9X0

and also Slayer's cover of Iron Butterfly's In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uSKxQmnYtc

and Pantera with one of the best Black Sabbath covers ever

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gym2UXYRz98

then Slayer again with a Sabbath cover of one of my all time favorite Sabbath songs

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26VOhSbQTJg

and the last Sabbath cover again by Pantera

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--icdKMbCOo

and lastly one of my favorites Motorhead covering Metallica

Ok, personal favorite of mine is Manson's take on Depeche Mode's Personal Jesus:

But Cash redoing it???

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQcNiD0Z3MU

I like the guitar and piano, but his vocals blow.

He sounds alot better covering NIN's Hurt:

Not too fond of Manson's redo of The Eurithmic's Sweet Dreams. much prefer the original.

Some crap "alternative band" redid Phil Collin's In The Air Tonight, that pretty much sucked too.

There are alot of covers out there, this thread may even surpass my old Sir Mix Alot thread...

Linc still got the cover to "Hot for Teacher" on your myspace page? that was pretty good.

there was a zeppelin tribute that had some really good and some really bad covers on it... I'll go searching....

Encomium. Found a link to the album on amazon. Sheryl Crow sounded like a dying cow. Stone Temple Pilots and Big Head Todd were good. An overall good album for the zeppelin fan but Crow's performance damn near ruins it. Thank you, reviews by Harold:mdr:

Sorry, but the Korn cover is God Awful. Wow, and Fieldy's bass playing makes it even sound worse. That dude is one of the worse bass players I have ever heard. His sudo-slap style is atrocious and only ever fit with the original drummer who's style could cover up Fieldy's horrible playing. Jonathan's vocals are too whiney for the song as well.

I am sorry, but when trying to cover greats like Zeppelin, Metallica, etc, you had better be great yourself and on your game or it just sounds like garbage.

As far as Sheryl Crowe, ole two squares sucks in my opinion at everything she does. Her "Sweet Child O Mine" cover made me want to shove an ice pick in my ears.

Here's Tori Amos with a pretty fine cover. I had the pleasure of seeing her live almost front row at the Grand Ole Opry when I lived in Nashville and she is bar none one of the finest performers I have ever seen.

I also like this redo although with Zakk Wylde doing it I don't know if it's a real cover other than the vocals.

And another by Zakk I love:

Plus some Garage Days covers:

Also love this one more than the original:

I am not a huge Godsmack fan but love their Good Times Bad Times Cover:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GpiePlaBZv0

And the coolest nursery rhyme cover ever, period:
