How to program a hobbywing esc with external bec?
Hi,
How can I program the 150amp esc with a external bec?(the internal bec is spoil)it Dun seems to work. I used the programming card, with the external bec to the power, the esc wire to the program slot. Nothing? The esc is working with the external bec as the servo is working. But I need to program the esc. Pls advise as I hv a race this 29th nov. |
The program card has 2 input ports, 1 for the ESC and 1 for an external BEC. If you use an external BEC, you will need to use both input ports. The ESC port has the +, -, and a square-wave.
If your internal BEC is bad, pull the red power wire out of the connector so that the program card doesn't try to look for power from that port. Then plug the ESC connector (now with only the ground and data wires in there) into the program card's ESC port and the external BEC connector into the other port (which only shows + and -) and you should be good to go. I do the same with a couple of my HW ESCs as I use external BECs with them. |
I tried the way u mention but don't work? The external bec is working as my amb n servo is working but I can't program the esc.
The esc is also working. Any idea what's wrong? |
If disconnecting the power lead didn't work, try putting the power lead from the external bec to the ESC connector. Maybe your program box is bad and the bec connection is dead.

I tried ur method seems that the fan slot is spoiled need to connect the fan to bec, I also tried ur method but also can't work I think the damage is more than I expected. Hope the esc still can race

Why do you need to program it to run it? Are you changing setups and need to change settings?
The last resort is to use the program button on the ESC switch. I've done that a couple of times. It's confusing at first, but isn't too bad once you do a couple of times. |
I need to change the lvc to 6s. It's set on 5s now. Use the button? How?
