our prayers have been answered

good thing they stated "for low voltage" cause I was really considering it:oops:

1. I wasn't
2. depends on the situation

I was looking at micro-t stuff. I've got two of them somewhere that need something done to them.

whitrzac 11.28.2009 05:02 PM

you can by solder past from RS....

BrianG 11.28.2009 05:21 PM

Solder paste is just solder flux to remove oxidation from the solder joint. This stuff seems to be more like a conductive epoxy (except epoxy is usually in two parts). Can't be too hard to do if using the proper particles in a conductive suspension. My question would be the resistance of such a bond. Even though this type of thing is probable, that ebay auction makes it sound like it belongs on a late night informercial right along with the "magic bullet".

Billy Mays could have sold millions of that

ive worn out my micro-T:lol:
literally worn it out!!

i say we glue a deans plug on with this stuff...25.2v is low voltage and if this glue cant take it....hmmm...is that sue-able in America? (everything else is lol)

Harolds gay for looking at micro T stuff, whats gayer than gay, I have one to play with cats. Thats some gay shizzit... My wedding ring is just to fend off dudes in bars

What's_nitro? 11.29.2009 12:06 AM

Whose prayers??? Get off your @$$ and learn how to solder!! Oops, sorry man....

When I get around to my solar power projects I'll be buying some of this stuff. Like BG said, I wonder what the resistance of the connection would be? Carbon is a great conductor but it's all the other stuff (the glue) in the way that increases resistance. It's probably only low voltage AND low current capable, which is fine for solar panels.

eovnu87435ds 11.29.2009 12:15 AM

it would've been good for me today... I needed to reattach an antenna to a Rx... some of that glue, followed by some hot glue to hold it in place, and that wouldve been perfect

J57ltr 11.29.2009 12:24 AM

Looks like a mixture of elmers glue and toner. I guess someone else figured that out.

so you let us know know that your ring is only to fend off dudes in bars, so you're open game at the grocery store? How many other guys do you tell your "secret"?

bigsteel 11.29.2009 01:25 PM

this stuff really isnt new,my grandfather worked for cincy electronics building military spec electronic components (waaay back in the day) and he figured out a way to put silver strands in suspension for conductive epoxy. he also told me about the militarys first ventures into 2.4GHZ spread spectrum radios....in 1989!!!--josh
