E REVO chassis too much flex
I thought the chassis should be as stiff as the rocker arm before, until
I got a real E REVO composite chassis. It is too flexible, especially the front and rear chassis. I can bend it by my fingers. Front and rear bulkhead could bear more stress due to soft chassis support. It may not a big deal since no one complain about it. However, I just don't get it why the electric version vehicle does not share the same chassis material as the nitro version. |
weight?
i dunno, i dont like the e-revo chassis either. too long for my tastes, hence why i stuck to the 2.5 chassis, nice and short. |
It would be pretty hard to make a chassis similar to the e-revo out of aluminum like the nitro versions. They could have just done the e-revo like a conversion but it wouldn't have been as friendly to a newb. I had my E-revo for a year and never had a problem with the chassis

I think the ideal chassis is a multiply components chassis.
Central chassis could share the same design as nitro revo and the battery tray could be made of other component or other material. This makes the chassis at least 3 pieces. Of course, the cost might be much higher. |
buy a kershaw designs chassis and build your own E-revo out of individual parts.problem solved.--josh

Kershaw Designs chassis is not sexy enough. Maybe I am spoiled. FLM and Gorillamaxx, what are you waiting for?
