Pretty much nails my perfect list. Racing is not real high on my list. I do love the creativity and openness of possibility. Imagination (and money ;) ) are the only real limitation.
Also, there is always some other RC to try. Love to do a plane someday...

snellemin 12.10.2009 12:28 AM

Top reason for loving rc - the rcm forum!!!! And all of you crazy bastards that frequent it! Thanks to everyone here for making this a fun/informative place!

2. Next would be making stuff to fix/improve an rc. That is what has kept me in this hobby this long.

3. Brushless/lipo is monumental, as is the wonder of 2.4ghz radios.

4. Next would have to be chargers with built in balancers and smart charge programming.

5. The lst!

6. Traxxas (we all start somewhere, electric pede for me)

7. Trading with other forum members!

8. Selling/buying without ebay!

9. Bashing with buddies.

10. The other 100+ rc vehicles/boats that I have owned!

I also like bondo's list but with the addition of what Linc said - The RCM forum

suicideneil 12.10.2009 11:17 AM

1. RCM- so many great people, and so few noobs....
2. Hobbycity- any company that lets you choose the value to put on the shipping label is OK in my book
3. Ebay- where else would you find a brand new emaxx tranny to put in your project truck..
4. Castle Creations- most user accessible r/c company ever, and they listen to their customers too.
5. Imex tires..
6. Owning an outdated radio that gives me less issues & more adjustablility than many new 2.4ghz systems.
7. BL
8. Low traction surfaces- nothing like being able to sling a truck into a tight turn and not have it roll over.
9. People who dont ask too many questions whilst you are driving, and only ask half-way intelligent ones at that ("lipo, whats that then?....")
10. JST-XH balance plugs- blessed are the universal and easy to find balance taps...

scarletboa 12.10.2009 10:58 PM

1. getting a new truck
2. zippy and turnigy lipos. they are the only reason i can afford brushless 1/8 rigs
3. castle creations. sure their stuff is a tad pricey, it's nothing compared to MGM and BK. also their cs is rock solid
4. the first big throttle jab on a new rc, new motor or new batteries
5. jumping a savage or buggy 25ft+ into the air.
6. meeting and talking to other rc owners.
7. the look on someone's face when their nitro truck was just schooled by my BL setup.
8. helping noobs tune their nitros and the look on their face when they do their first wheelie. as long as the noob is open to good advice and doesn't ask retarded questions, they are ok in my book.
9. making my own custom mods on an rc that actually work. lexan pieces, velcro, zip ties, nitro fuel line, shoo glue, and aluminum angle stock and sheets are usually what my mods consist of.
10. the RCM forum. noobs on a forum really get on my nerves, especially when there are so many repeat questions and they won't take advice. there are very few noobs here and the occasional noobs that post here aren't too bad.

1. RCM. Period. I fade in and out but will always be lurking in the background. Even when I don't comment I am constantly reading and learning. Like minded people band together and I like how RCM people are minded.

2. The people. So willing to help and teach.

3. Electronics. As much as I know there is so much more that I don't and me likey the flow of electrons

4. Power to weight. Making things impossible in the 1:1 world possible.

5. Driving without being in the vehicle. Making things impossible in the 1:1 world possible.

6. Customizing. There are over 117 bazillion e-maxxes in the world but only one like mine!!

{joke break: Cheney runs into the oval office to inform Bush that 2 brazilian soldiers were killed in afghanistan, and that Bush would have to make a public address to keep up civilian morale. Now, Bush was noticeably shaken, which surprised everyone, for after all he was the president (and he has the intellect of a third grader) So, after calming himself, Bush turns to Cheney and asks, "tell me, exactly how many are in a brazilian?" HEYYO!}

7. The chicks.

8. The money

9. The fame
