Is there anything CA Glue can't fix?
I just got finished gluing together some Christmas decorations that my 3 year old "modified" for my wife, one of which she was really really fond. Then I glued Mickey Mouse's butt back together (I mean this literally, his butt broke in two and his legs fell off) he goes with my little girl's block set. And of then since the glue was out thought maybe I should glue some rc tires I had been putting off.
This is not the first time CA glue has saved the day for me, but it did get me wondering what is the strangest thing you have repaired with CA glue? For me it is a decorative ceramic (I think it was ceramic) globe, this too was my 3 year old's handy work. |
not CA but funny "glue" story-
I was like 13 and wrestling with my buddy at his house (leave that alone Linc) and broke an ear off his mom's prized deer statue. There was no glue in the house, and we weren't about to admit a mistake. I slathered some chap stick in the break, pressed the ear on and walked away. It stayed that way for 8 years! On my buddies 21st I bumped it again and the ear fell off, again! This time his mother saw it happen , and thought her "pristine" deer statue was ruined. When my buddy and I were done RO the FL I told her, "don't worry, I can fix it!":oh: |
1987 or 88, driving home from a week skiing the mighty Datsun started missing really badly & just limped into a petrol station...a quick check confirmed the points had cracked & broken
On foot, we checked every shop, petrol station for a replacement set - none! Got on a payphone & called everything in the area...eventually found a supplier 150kms further down the road... You guessed it, cleaned the broken part, glued it together - crossed fingers, toes & started her up...ran fine, drove down the road...fine, drove to the edge of town...fine, did 160-175kph all the way to the supplier. The points were changed & the damaged one glued to the dash with the same CA that did the original repair! True story |
I glued a broken porno vhs case back together once...
