UltraMaxx gear lube???

There seem to be some UltraMaxx tranny gears for sale on Ebay.I know some of have these in your Emaxxs.I remember an ad saying these gears needing a "special type of lube",is this so or can you use the same lube that you use in the stock transmission? Thanks

I have that tranny and it is a special type of lube - have no idea what it is though - opened it up saw it and thats about it -

It would seem to need some stick stuff. If it is on the housing of trans it is not lubing. I don't know what it is.

Just a FYI for anyone looking at the gears...they are Gen II gears....where as the Gen III gears have steel pins inserted into the gears so the shift dog will have a steel to steel contact. just some usefull info to everyone.

The stuff that comes with the ultramaxx gears seems a lot like associated black grease to me,aint nothing special about it.Just use a good quality grease, whatever you normally use in the transmission and on diff ring and pinion.I use Finish Line premium synthetic stuff from a bike shop.
