Which castle motor?

I have a converted mbx5 with a mmm, I used to have a medusa motor 2000kv which was perfect but then the magnets decided to remove themselves from the shaft and smash themselves to pieces

I went for the LRP Vortex 8 but it’s just not powerful enough despite being a 2500. Ive decided to go for the castle motor to match the speed controller but which motor would suit the car best the 2200 or the 2650? Also which would give the better run time?

Thanks

Unless you plan to run 3s or go for speed runs, the 2200 is a better choice IMO. Geared for the same speed both motors should offer similar runtimes, but the 2200 should run a bit cooler since it has more surface area for heat dissipation.

OK thanks for that, its going to be run on 4s.

Cheers

Or you could go for the new 1512 1800kV motor - that'll be a nice midpoint in case you ever want to run 5S, but can be geared up for 4S. Cogging effects will be accentuated though...
