quick question about gears
heya,
is 32 pitch the same as Mod1? is 64 pitch the same as Mod0.8? many thanks guys |
no 32p can be used with mod .8 mod1 is a bigger gear.

64p is tiny; it is used in little pan cars. Next step up is 48p which is used in most mini's and 2wd electric 10th scales and touring cars. It is close to mod .5 iirc. Then comes mod .8/32p and then mod 1 which is used with most nitros and 8th scales.

64p is very close to Mod 0.4. I know 32p and Mod0.8 are close enough to work without any problems, but not sure if 64p/Mod0.4 are close enough to do the same since the teeth are much smaller and therefore more critical.
