which tranny and bulkheads?
Hey Guys,
So i decided to get the FLM ext chassis for bashing.. unless there is something stronger that someone can tell me about? I was wondering what would complement the chassis as far as bulks and tranny case? Are the flm bulks good? Not the bullkless. and is the flm tranny case good? IF there is any better ones for both you can think or have opinions on them please tell me about them. I am currently going to buy some UE diifs so something that will fit those diffs. Mahalo guys, Makana |
Why do you not want the bulkless? The flm bulks have a life time warranty. So they should be strong. The flm tranny is a good buy as well.
|
If you're going to buy diffs and bulks i'd definately go with the hybrid bulkless with 1/8 diffs.Much stronger.I bet you could find some diffs cheap from a chop shop on e-bay.

how are the integy bulks? Strength wise?
|
The type 2 is stronger than the type 1. I have broke a type 1 but not type 2. I think the flm has it beat though strength wise. I just swapped my integy out for some flm hybirds. I have never broke a hybird.

I run the FLM regualar bulks. They are very strong. I've hit too many things and cartwheeled too many times and they're still going strong.
Also on the FLM tranny case, i will be far more superior than most other tranny cases because it is actually CNC'd where as the others are molded. CNC'd will be a lot more true and stronger. |
I guess the integy are out they dont seem to be as strong as the FLM but are the GAssembly bulks any good. Thanks again guys, Makana

how was your experiences with the GA bulks? Tough, weak?
|
GA bulks are = to FastLane bulks, but cost more $$. Good stuff for sure, but the FLM is a better value IMO. As mentioned above, the hybrid bulks and 1/8 diffs is the best approach, as it saves some $$ in the long run, is extremely durable, and the FLM stuff has a great warranty.

The GA bulks are very solid, but quite heavy too. I'm sure the FLM bulks are up to anything the GA bulks can handle
