Center dif oil weight?

Ok, so after a long time, I was able to get on the block for one of Mikes BL center diff mounts for the FLM ext. LCG TVP'. Naturally, I also ordered a slipperential. Having never owned a truck with a center diff, I have no idea where to begin. I know a lot of buggies and truggies run 10k-20k oil, but i have no idea what to use for the savage. I would assume it woudl need must thicker oil, since it is heavier and has big wheels (running big joes). I did some research, and found that the revo uses 100k wt center diff oil.

Any suggestions?

My setup (what I think is relevant info to the question):
tekin rx8 w/4038 1550kv motor
CEN diffs
big joe or 40 series road rage tires (depending on surface).
Overall, this truck is on the heavier side, with alum bulks and towers.

It depends what you are planning to do with it.

For track purposes you probably want to stay in the 10-20K range. For bashing and general running I'd say that the 30K-50K range would be a good place to start, but if you still want wheelies and such then even heavier may be in order. 50K - 100K or so.

The revo uses crazy high diff fluids just becasue of the poor center dif design so its probably not a good comparison. Since you will be running a true 1/8 diff in your savage you shouldnt need to go as high as the Revo does. Even at 100K the revo center diff is too soft for most people. I hear of people running 300K and even 500K fluids in it.

PM or email him. However, I have been unable to contact him for about 2 weeks now, so I still don't have the drive shafts.

Yeah, haven't seen any responses from some questions from him either.

Let us know how the center diff goes.

Well, I still haven't been able to contact Mike (what gives?). At this point, I guess its his loss, i ordered dog bones from FLM on Friday. I should have them some time this coming week. Hopefully I will have updates, and maybe some pics next weekend.
