Converting My CRT.5 Brushless
Ok guys so im finally going for it i already ripped all the nitro stuff off my CRT and cleaned to EXTREMELY WELL ud never think it was ever used for nitro. Took about a hour to get all that crap nitro oil off the car but it was well worth it. As far as set up goes ill be useing a medusa 5900KV motor with a MM esc and 3S 35C rating battery. I already got all the electronics and i just need to order the parts to convert over ill be placing a order for everything i need tomorrow. I already have the RCM 17MM hubs so....so far so good. As you can see i removed the center diff a long time ago to get the gear ratio higher when i was running nitro. The set up worked so well i plan on using it on my brushless set up as well. I plan on starting with 18/40 gearing i hope this will be a fast little truck.

Nice tire choice. How did you make that center diff?

3s on a 5900kv motor is gonna be a ballistic missile! You might want to rethink that! I run a 4800kv on 2s and verything stays cool even geared for high 30s. 3300kv is a better choice for 3s. Your gearing is gonna be off with a 40t spuras well, you may want to find something a little bigger. Again my setup is a 4800kv medusa, 2s lipo, 47/15 gearing with stock size tires

I also would like to know what center spur setup that is. Since it's 40T, I assume it's from a Revo? If so, it must use the standard Trx 3 hole spur mount layout. If the diameter is too small for brushless gearing, A larger (but smaller pitch) Jato gear could be used.
